- What has been a highlight in the past year?
"I had the pleasure of singing my first b-minor mass this past year. I`ve sung quite a bit by Bach, since I studied in Leipzig, but hadn`t yet had the opportunity to sing that one. I really love singing Bach and it was definitely a bucket list item."
- What are you looking forward to in the upcoming year?
"I`m really looking forward to making more recordings for my Instagram account @operalyd
I`ve had so much fun with that project and am looking forward to continuing!"
-What is your favourite way to enjoy the days of summer?
"What I love to do in summer, is to eat all the fresh fruit, berries and vegetables from our garden. This year I`m especially looking forward to our first home grown watermelon!"

Tonight, the new production of Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc opens at @glyndebourne , and Katarina is singing Madame de Croissy. This haunting piece is conducted by Robin Ticciati, directed by Barrie Kosky and performed by the @londonphilharmonicorchestra , The Glyndebourne Chorus and a fine collection of soloists. ❤

Sweden turns 500 this year, as it was 500 years ago that Gustav Vasa was elected as the first king of Sweden. 1786, the opera Gustaf Wasa by Naumann was premiered, and it was long the national opera of Sweden - to then be forgotten.
Today, this gem is played at Konserthuset Stockholm by Kungliga Filharmonikerna, Gustav Sjökvists Kammarkör and a great collection of soloists, among them our Hillevi Martinpelto, all under the baton of Tobias Ringborg.
