A real contralto voice is rare to find but Susanna really possesses that dark, yet vibrant, elegant timbre. Her expressive stage presence and musicality has made her an appreciated artist, both in opera and concert repertoire.
Active since her diploma from the University College of Opera in Stockholm in 2006, she has appeared at several of the most important stages in Sweden, like the Royal Opera, Gothenburg opera, Malmö opera, Norrlandsoperan, Folkoperan, Opera på Skäret and more.
Susanna made her latest role debut as Ulrica in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera in 2022. Other notable roles are Mrs.Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff, Amastre in Händel’s Xerxes, Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Mary in Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer.

She performs regularly in sacred and concert repertoire and has been highly praised for her interpretations of composers like Bach and Händel. She has a long experience of creating lied programs and is very dedicated to keeping the lieder repertoire alive.
In November 2023 she will sing the contralto solo at Berwaldhallen with renowned conductor Patrik Ringborg in “Sången” by Stenhammar.
Susanna has been awarded 1st prize in the Kokkola Lied Competition (Finland) and was as a finalist given a special prize at the International Sibelius Singing Competition. Recipient of scholarships from the Swedish Wagner society, the Drottningholm theater, Anders Wall, Konstnärsnämnden, the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, and the TSO-sisters, to name a few.
